My education degree is from Fort Hays State University and I followed that with an Apparel and Textile Marketing degree from Kansas State University. Over the next several years, I had a varied and interesting career path.

Along the way, I met and married my husband of 36 years, Tom. We have been blessed with a daughter and her husband, two sons, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter.

I spent many years as a substitute teacher so that I could have more flexibility while my three children were at home. This is my thirteenth year teaching Family and Consumer Science classes at Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School in Wichita.
