Emily Schmidt is a Career Pathways Facilitator with Olathe Public Schools. This positions supports teachers and students with Work-based Learning initiatives tied to student individual plan of study.

Emily is a former Family and Consumer Science teacher. She has taught in the Education and Training, Restaurant and Event Management, and Family Career and Consumer Services Pathways. She was a nominee for Kansas Teachers of the Year in 2021.

Emily has a BS in Family and Consumer Sciences from Pittsburg State and a MA in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Central Missouri.

Nutrition & Wellness will prepare students to explore different components of wellness which include physical, social, and emotional health. Students will prepare for careers in nutrition and wellness by taking an in-depth look at various types of diets, nutrition information, disease prevention, and physical activity to identify and apply healthy practices for a lifetime of wellness.
