I am a 20 year teacher that has taught majority of the time in a single teacher department. I am currently teaching the classes in the Family, Community and Consumer Services Pathway and Teach and Train Pathway. I am active in my professional organizations and an active FCCLA Advisor.

Emily Schmidt is a Career Pathways Facilitator with Olathe Public Schools. This positions supports teachers and students with Work-based Learning initiatives tied to student individual plan of study.

Emily is a former Family and Consumer Science teacher. She has taught in the Education and Training, Restaurant and Event Management, and Family Career and Consumer Services Pathways. She was a nominee for Kansas Teachers of the Year in 2021.

Emily has a BS in Family and Consumer Sciences from Pittsburg State and a MA in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Central Missouri.
