Students will learn how to identify nutrients, understand the need for nutrients, and label MyPlate correctly. Students will also learn about the importance of a grocery list, be able to identify kitchen tools, list ways to prevent kitchen injuries, and understand proper use of tools and equipment.

Lastly, students will learn how to prepare pancakes, biscuits, muffins, cookies, cakes from scratch and explain the function of yeast.
