The high school entrepreneurship class is an immersive 16-week course designed to empower students with entrepreneurial thinking and design thinking skills, while providing them with the opportunity to create their own business or support an existing one. Throughout the course, students will explore key concepts such as identifying market opportunities, understanding customer needs, and developing value propositions. They will also apply design thinking principles to ideate, prototype, and iterate their business ideas, ensuring that they are meeting customer needs effectively. Students will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of running a business, including market research, marketing, finance, legal and ethical considerations, and team management. The class culminates in a pitch competition, allowing students to showcase their business projects to a panel of judges and receive valuable feedback. This comprehensive course aims to equip students with the skills and confidence necessary to become successful entrepreneurs and innovators in today's fast-paced world. This curriculum could be used in any CTE course.
