Unit 1 What is Ag1 to 2 class periods.
Students will learn how to define agriculture, learn about the different areas of agriculture, and identifying agriculture in their daily lives. For a complete list of objectives, please see the lesson plans (LP).
Students will learn how plants benefit people and will be able to identify the parts and functions of a plant. Students will also describe the life cycle of the plant and learn about plant propagation. For a complete list of objectives, please see the lesson plans (LP).
Unit 3 Animal and Animal Products1 to 2 class periods.
Students will learn how to describe animals based on their age, explore large animal production, and will be able to define by-products. For a complete list of objectives, please see the lesson plans (LP).
Students will learn to define natural resources, and understand the difference between exhaustible and inexhaustible resources. Students will also learn how to describe wildlife species in Kansas, the water cycle, and describe common sources of pollution. For a complete list of objectives, please see the lesson plans (LP).
Students will learn how to describe a basic electrical circuit, lawn mower safety, and able to identify basic hand tools. For a complete list of objectives, please see the lesson plans (LP).
Unit 6 Leadership and FFA Opportunities1 to 2 class periods.
