U6L1 Multi-media and podcasting2 weeks-6 50 min. classes
The Snowfall piece is one of the most amazing pieces of journalistic convergence from the NYT. (If you are from Kansas City one of the most impactful local stories has been KCUR's Barbary Shelley's series titled Musical Chairs. You can dowload it at this address https://kclinc.org/thegoodbyekids/?ref=p1r) Once your students are impressed, you'll be able to have great discussions about the evolution of journalism. Although a 4-week project with video interviews, etc...would be fun, a podcast is easy fun and low-budget. If they have a Smart phone, they can do it.
