Physical Therapist Assistant

About the Author

In order to keep this a short bio I must confess I lead a double life. I work in education and healthcare. My schooling and skill set are in the healthcare profession. Currently I am a physical therapist assistant at a local skilled nursing facility and a para-educator to a medical fragile home-bound student within the local school district.

Since 2007, my physical therapy background includes working within hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation units, post-secondary education, home health, and senior behavioral health.

Introduction to Physical Therapy Assistant, Clinical Experiences, and Therapeutic Exercise are courses I consistently taught to post-secondary students.

My educational background includes working within private and public schools; from elementary to post-secondary students. As for any awards and recognition I’ve received throughout my career I’d have to look at my CV to jog my memory. What I do know is that I am showered with awards and recognition daily. These include poop, pee, puke, snot, and remnants of snacks or meals from whomever I am tending too. It’s about the non-tangible "awards and recognition" that keep me fully immersed in this double life, it's about helping others live life to the fullest.
